DSC EXCELLENCE FUND
The DSC Excellence Fund, incorporated in 1991, provides financial grants to ice skaters based on skating ability and financial need.
Skaters can apply for a grant each spring. Skaters must have competed at a Sectional, National or International Competition to apply. Applications are available in the DSC office. The grants are awarded each fall. The grants have ranged from $100 to $1,500 per recipient. Skaters do not need to belong to Detroit Skating Club to receive a Grant.
The Review Committee analyzes the competitive performance and financial information of each applicant. The data provided to the Review Committee do not include the name of the skater. The Review Committee allocates the money available for the current year to the applicants based on a comparison of their skating performances and financial need.

The Directors of the DSC Excellence Fund are: Donald Brundirks, President; Richard Dalley, Ed Kmit, Drew Paterson and Herb Vader. The Review Committee consists of Richard, Drew and Herb. Jerod Swallow is the Treasurer.
The DSC Excellence Fund is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation. Your contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Contributors of $100, $500 or $1,000 have their names permanently inscribed on the respective plaques in the Lobby.
