COMPETITION
Competitions are necessary if you intend on becoming a skating
champion. They're nerve wracking; they're fun. They cost money!
There are many competitions of different types going all year
long. Your coach can recommend which ones your skater should
compete in and how often. Remember, a skater who is always competing
has little time to practice new figures and routines. Consult
your coach about competitions, where to stay if out of town,
when to get there and how to get there.
